Wesleyan IT Students (WITS)
We look for students who are self-motivated and are willing to learn. While some prior knowledge would be nice, you do not need any! Our purpose is to assist with the technological issues on campus, expanding our knowledge and resources, and using our experiences to help keep NWU running in the modern world. With jobs from coding to audio/video work, from assisting with questions in the labs and classrooms to maintaining campus equipment, there is a something for everyone. As students, we build our work schedule to fit around classes, activities, and our usual busy college lives. It is not just about being “tech-savvy”, it is all about being friendly. Building and maintaining relationships with students and professors is a great not only for your work life but for your academic life as well. Your friends will look to you for help, and you will gain respect from your professors as you are able to assist them with keeping their lessons interactive and fun. If you are interested in joining WITS, contact Jay Kahler at firstname.lastname@example.org or submit an online application here.
